42 Nice School and Pôle emploi sign a partnership for more inclusive digital technology.

Pôle emploi signs a partnership with the 42 Nice school, in an innovative experimental approach in favor of job seekers.

Following the support of the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, Pôle emploi in turn joins the dynamic of 42 Nice and its territory, to promote IT training projects and thus stimulate professional reintegration and inclusion in the digital sector.

A new experimental partnership

The 42 Nice school and Pôle emploi have committed to an experimental partnership that aligns with the orientations of the Skills Investment Plan (PIC) and targets job seekers with a BAC level of education (equivalent to the BAC but without a diploma obtained) and less than BAC (strictly below the BAC) to train in IT development at the school.

Job seekers meeting these criteria can benefit from remuneration for two years and, in some cases, mobility assistance allowing them to follow top-notch training in coding and computer programming at 42 Nice. This agreement complements already existing training actions by Pôle emploi. An analysis and monitoring will be carried out between 42 Nice and Pôle emploi to identify the effects and performance of this new experimental arrangement.

Development and enhancement of skills

Venturing off the beaten path and sharing a common will to develop skills, encourage digital career inclusion, and improve employability in the sector, 42 Nice and Pôle emploi confirm their intention to facilitate the return to work for people far removed from the job market.

This collaboration is a real opportunity for these groups who might not have the chance to pursue high-level training in the conventional system. This approach thus offers professional prospects, whether for beneficiaries to acquire new skills and/or consider a career change.

Accessing the 42 Nice program, whose duration can vary between two and five years (depending on the pace and progression of the student), means benefiting from free training, recognized by developers and companies, with a post-curriculum employability rate of 100%. It is also the opportunity for the student to be part of a network consisting of 29 campuses and over 10,000 students (currently) in France and internationally.

Moreover, 42 Nice, which welcomed all its first cohort of learners from March 22 (some of whom started on January 18), has among its 150 students job seekers who already benefit from this initiative. Indeed, about 41% (on average) of profiles are registered with Pôle emploi, and around 38% are undergoing career change.

Applications

Like all candidates, job seekers wishing to join 42 Nice Région Sud will undergo the usual selection process, namely: passing the online tests and then the intensive four-week “pool” phase. In this regard, three new pools are planned for June, July, and September 2021.

Simultaneously, 42 Nice Région Sud is deploying its pedagogy to support the skills advancement of companies and their teams through short 42 Nice Executive courses, specialized in computer programming and digital fields.

In this same perspective, the partnership between Pôle emploi and 42 Nice Région Sud considers the setup of short technical modules intended for job seekers with experience in IT development to enable them to:

– seek specific expertise
– train in new technologies
– update their knowledge
– retain acquired skills

“In an unprecedented economic and social crisis context, Pôle emploi and the 42 Nice school sign an ambitious and meaningful partnership designed to strengthen our cooperation at the local level. We are very satisfied with this partnership that implements our strong complementarities for the digital inclusion of young people in coding and digital careers. Acting complementarily for employment, close to the territory’s specificities, such is our motto.” explains Rachid Abarki, president of 42 Nice.
