The outgoing LR president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, Renaud Muselier, announced this Tuesday, April 27, his candidacy for a new term.
Renaud Muselier highlights his “solid track record” over nearly four years at the head of the region: “The 8 political components that make up the regional majority also support me: throughout this mandate, we never missed a single vote in our actions.”
“I will freely form the widest possible list, without any deals between parties, to face the challenges of tomorrow with calm, efficiency, and pragmatism,” specifies Renaud Muselier.
For now, there is no alliance with the LREM candidate Sophie Cluzel, who is also running.
Renaud Muselier will also face Thierry Mariani, the RN MEP, ex-LR, who is leading the National Rally list. The two politicians began their careers at the same time with the RPR and joined the National Assembly in the same year, 1993.
