Compared to yesterday, the number has significantly evolved with an increase of 20,262 new cases. With many family reunions for Christmas Eve, this increase can be attributed to numerous tests carried out to celebrate Christmas with family.
On Thursday, 186 people were admitted to intensive care, and 112 this Friday, bringing the total to 2,616 Covid-19 patients in French hospitals. Regarding the mortality rate, 159 deaths were recorded yesterday, bringing the number of deaths to 62,427, of which 43,232 occurred in a hospital.
