For its 2020 campaign, the CDOS 06 organized a debate and screening with the schoolchildren of Villars-sur-Var last Thursday. Accompanied by the president, Philippe Manassero, the students were able to discover the future sports projects of the departmental Olympic committee and learn more about the world of sports.
” Olympic Footage “, this is the name of the Olympic project for the 2020 campaign of the CDOS 06 (Comité Départemental Olympique et Sportif des Alpes-Maritimes). Philippe Manassero, the president of the CDOS 06, accompanied by Tullio Ferrari, FICTS delegate, was able to present the young students of Villars-sur-Var with a film about the Olympic Games. A screening that turned into a sports debate in order to discuss and share the values of Olympism.
Interested, attentive, and serious, the children displayed great curiosity about the history of the Olympic Games. From the ancient Olympics in Greece to Paris 2024, passing through Tokyo 2021, the leaders of the CDOS 06 conveyed all the culture as well as the history and traditions of sports through the film of the Summer and Winter Olympics. A screening that ends with the main values of Olympism represented by this motto: ” Respect, Friendship and Excellence “.
Aware of the importance and social values represented through sports, the students were given a bag containing a t-shirt, a frisbee, a family board game (” les Incollables “), and, above all, an Olympic medal as a token of appreciation for their attention to the debate project.
