OGC Nice: a South American talent in their sights

Latest News

The president of a Paraguayan club has announced OGC Nice’s interest in one of his players.

Times have been tough in Nice for several weeks. While the team was perfectly positioned to finish on the podium, the situation changed over a few matches, and the team now finds itself in 5th place in Ligue 1.

To address the shortcomings of the Nice squad, the club’s management is already considering several quality players who could strengthen the team for next season.

We already knew the names of the young French player Warren Bondo and the Turkish international Abdรผlkadir ร–mรผr, but a new player has been added to this list of potential reinforcements this Tuesday.

Indeed, this is information coming from South America, more specifically from Paraguay. Rubรฉn Di Tore, the president of the club Libertad, the current league leader, discussed the future of his young striker Julio Enciso.

At only 18 years old, he is currently the top scorer in the Primera Division with 10 goals in 9 matches and is naturally attracting interest. His president indicated that the young Paraguayan international is being followed by different European clubs, including Nice:
“This Sunday, there were people from Nice, France and representatives of an English club to see him.”

The team from Nice is therefore very interested in the young Enciso; however, caution is needed due to competition from this English club, which seems to be Brighton. The player’s representative also stated that the Red Bull group wants to acquire the striker and has already made an offer of around 9 million euros.
