According to figures from the Directorate General of Health, 20,086,792 people have received at least one injection (30% of the total population) and 8,805,345 people have received two injections (13.1% of the total population and 16.8% of the adult population), based on preliminary data.
The government’s next goal is to exceed 30 million people with their first vaccination by mid-June.
“We must reach out to the most vulnerable,” such as the elderly or those with associated pathologies, insisted Jean Castex, noting that 25% of those over 75 have not yet received their first injection.
The distribution of the 20 million people with their first vaccination is as follows:
44% men, 56% women
1.9% are under 25 years old, 16% are between 25 and 49 years old, 57.2% are between 50 and 74 years old, 24.9% are 75 years old or older.
