Due to a strike call on Friday, April 22, traffic is likely to be disrupted again.
Indeed, while train circulation is disrupted this Easter weekend due to work at Marseille Blancarde, the CGT railway workers of the Côte d’Azur are calling for a train strike on this Friday, April 22, to demand better salaries and working conditions.
The next day, Saturday, April 23, SNCF will resume the work and will therefore block traffic once again.
“The remuneration of railway workers must be sustainably increased by raising the work premium for all railway workers of the Côte d’Azur,” demands the union in the notice that France Bleu Azur managed to obtain. Among other demands, the CGT is asking particularly to “rehumanize trains and stations” and to address the challenges posed by the opening to competition of the Marseille-Nice line to the operator Transdev, in 2025.
