Less than 19,000 Covid-19 patients hospitalized, less than 3,400 in intensive care: the pressure on hospitals continued to decrease on Wednesday, May 26, according to data published by Public Health France.
18,593 patients with Covid-19 are currently hospitalized (compared to 19,430 the day before and 21,347 seven days prior), including 671 admitted in the last twenty-four hours. Critical care services had 3,330 patients, compared to 3,862 a week ago.
181 patients have been admitted since Tuesday into these services, which care for the most severely affected patients. Authorities also reported 144 new deaths in hospitals due to the coronavirus.
