On March 14th, the League Against Cancer will celebrate its 100th anniversary. To mark the occasion, the Alpes-Maritimes Committee is organizing a day of prevention and charity on March 17th at the Auron ski resort in the Mercantour area.
For its centenary, the League Against Cancer is getting a fresh boost. Indeed, the Committee 06 has decided to make a statement by modernizing the image of the association through a new event: the Snow Day Challenge.
This event will take place in Auron (about 90 kilometers from Nice) on March 17th. In a sporty and friendly atmosphere, the main goal is to raise funds to support patients and families affected by cancer.
There will be something for everyone!
For this first edition, two challenges, supervised by professionals, are on the program.
Whether skiing or snowboarding, it does not matter. The first challenge (50โฌ per participant) will be divided into two separate events. First, a giant slalom on the red Mรฉlรจzes slope, where competitors must achieve the best time. Then, a parallel slalom on the Riou slope, where this time the goal is to make as many descents as possible.
The second activity (20โฌ per participant) involves a hike. Walkers, equipped with snowshoes, will start from the Rovery room and explore the surrounding environment.
The day will conclude with an award ceremony, where many prizes can be won, such as a round trip ticket from Nice to New York for two people.
