Located at 18 rue Franรงois Guisol, in the port district, in the former premises of the Communist Party, “Nice en commun,” a new cultural center for “citizen initiatives,” has opened its doors.
What is the goal of this cultural space? To provide a committed cultural venue, organize exhibitions, literary cafรฉs, and, if health conditions allow, concerts. It is the perfect place for anyone wishing to engage in conversation in a pleasant and friendly setting. Round tables will be organized to debate cultural, artistic, political, associational, or even syndical themes, all concluded with a republican aperitif.
Who can exhibit? To inaugurate the opening of the center, the association launched a call for photos or posters from artists last December. The exhibition showcases these works and will remain in this form until May 29. However, in a few days, any “budding artist” will be able to submit their creations. “We hope to be able to exhibit elsewhere as well,” says Pascal Tournois, the initiator of this new cultural space. Exhibition topics must echo with an artistic dimension!
