A march “against racism and far-right ideas, for equality and freedoms” is organized this Saturday in Nice (starting in front of the SNCF station at 2 p.m.).
Organized notably by the PCF06, Attac06, Sud-Solidaires 06, UD-CGT 06, it aims to “bring together” citizens “in the face of this climate of hatred, threatening individual and collective freedoms.”
“For several months now, we have observed an alarming political and social climate. Far-right ideas are spreading. Aligning with the far-right or adopting its ideas is no longer taboo. These ideas are preparing minds for an undemocratic, unequal, racist, sexist, and discriminatory society. We do not accept it,” the organizers assert in a manifesto.
The possibility of the victory of a list supported by the Rassemblement National in the regional elections is obviously one of the drivers of this demonstration.
