According to Santรฉ publique France, the incidence rate in the Alpes-Maritimes is 377 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

The positivity rate of screening tests is 16.1% in the Alpes-Maritimes. 394 people are hospitalized due to complications related to Covid. Only 11 people were in intensive care in the region.
Regarding deaths, the department recorded 1 death between May 7 and May 13.

At the national level

For all of France โ€“ mainland and overseas territories โ€“ the incidence rate is roughly equivalent to that of the Alpes-Maritimes, with 376 positive cases per 100,000 inhabitants, one more point than the incidence in the Alpes-Maritimes.

An average of 36,097 positive cases are reported daily in France (over a 7-day period), showing a 21% decrease compared to the previous week.

In total, 94 people are admitted to critical care daily (including intensive care), bringing the total number of patients to 1,233 currently.

An average of 89 hospital deaths are reported each day over the past week, representing an 11.6% decrease compared to the previous week.

These statistics, which suggest the end of the 5th wave โ€“ primarily linked to the Omicron variant โ€“ do not yet signify the end of the pandemic.
