After focusing on the goal of vaccinating 30 million people by June 15, the vaccination campaign maintains its pace.
By the end of August, 40 million French people are expected to have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, and 35 million should be fully vaccinated. Furthermore, 85% of those over 50 and individuals with comorbidities should have received at least one dose.
According to figures published by the Ministry of Health on Wednesday, more than a quarter of the French population is now fully vaccinated against Covid-19: 16.9 million people have thus completed their vaccination schedule, meaning they have received two injections, or just one if they were vaccinated with the Janssen product (single dose) or if they had contracted Covid-19 previously. This represents about 25.4% of the population (and 32.3% of the adult population), compared to about 24.7% on Tuesday.
Since the start of the vaccination campaign at the end of December, 31 million people have received at least one injection (equivalent to 46.4% of the total population and 59.2% of the adult population), the Ministry specified in a statement.
