The pressure on hospital services continues to decrease, with 1,703 Covid-19 patients in critical care units (the most severe cases) this Saturday, according to the figures from Public Health France. Such a low level had not been reached since last October.
And 24 patients suffering from a severe form of the disease have been taken into critical care units in the last 24 hours. For reference, there are now 10,531 people hospitalized due to Covid-19, compared to 10,738 on Friday. Only about 102 people have been admitted in the past 24 hours.
Furthermore, health authorities report 22 deaths from the disease. In total, 110,724 people have died from Covid-19 since the beginning of the epidemic in the country.
Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, 31,964,313 people have received at least one injection (accounting for 47.7% of the total population and 60.9% of the adult population), and 16,209,689 people have received two injections (accounting for 24.2% of the total population and 30.9% of the adult population). Additionally, 547,849 injections have been administered in the last 24 hours. Finally, 18,175,104 people have a complete vaccination schedule.
