The French championship will resume on August 6. The schedule for this new season has been presented.
This Friday, nearly a month to the day after the last match against Stade de Reims, OGC Nice discovered its first opponent for the 2021-22 Ligue 1 season.
The Gym will play this first match on the field of a promoted club. A journey of almost 600 kilometers to reach Haute-Garonne and Toulouse. The TFC, the shining champion of Ligue 2 last season, will be closely watched as it impressed many. Several players like the English striker Rhys Healey (top scorer with 20 goals) or the Belgian Branco Van Den Boomen (best player of the championship) will be closely monitored.
The first match at Allianz Riviera this season will be against Strasbourg, which finished 6th in the last standings just behind the Gym.
Unlike this season, OGC Nice will have to position itself strongly before the last day of the 2022-23 season. Indeed, the Eagles face a significant challenge as this 38th match will be played at home but against Lyon.
