In collaboration with the GALICE association, the City of Nice has created a space for conviviality and exchanges centered around sustainable development, the Moulins recycling center.

A 194m² building that will facilitate the upcycling of repairable items by creating a short cycle (consumption – upcycling – sale), a place for transforming waste into resources, and also an educational space where users will be made aware of eco-friendly practices and environmental issues.

A shared garden space, intended for everyone, will be available, where an olive tree was planted by Christian Estrosi during the inauguration held yesterday.

On the other side of this building covered with natural wood siding, a vegetable garden space reserved for children will allow the little ones to plant, grow, and harvest their own fruits and vegetables.

The opening of the Moulins recycling center will create 9 jobs in the social and solidarity economy, including 6 recruited from the Moulins neighborhood, as part of a job integration program.
