Every year, the City of Nice hosts the IRONMAN for two days. This global sports event will take place on the weekend of June 25-26. As a result, traffic and parking will undergo several changes.
For the IRONMAN France, a traffic plan is in place starting June 20. The City advises prioritizing public transport, as due to the significance of the event, several areas of the city will be inaccessible.
Here is all the information you need to know to get around Nice in the coming days:
Nice Center
From Saturday, June 25 at 8 PM to Monday, June 27 at 4 AM
Closed to traffic: Promenade des Anglais, north lane, between Avenue Max Gallo and Avenue de Verdun
From Sunday, June 26 at 12:01 AM to Monday, June 27 at 4 AM
Closed to traffic:
- Rue Gustave V, between Rue Gabriel Faurรฉ and the Promenade des Anglais
- Quai des รtats-Unis and Quai Rauba Capeu from Place Guynemer except for vehicles exiting Rue des Ponchettes, which will be directed to the port via Place du 8 Mai
- Avenue Max Gallo, between the Promenade des Anglais and Place Massรฉna
- Access to the Liautaud tunnel via Avenue Max Gallo
- North lane of the Promenade des Anglais, between Avenue de Verdun and Boulevard Gambetta
- Rue Raoul Bosio, between Rue Saint-Franรงois-de-Paule and Quai des รtats-Unis (except private resident access)

Nice West – Airport
On Sunday, June 26 from 5 AM to 7:30 PM
Closed to traffic: all perpendicular axes giving access to the south lane, between Pont Napolรฉon III and Avenue des Grenouillรจres, including connections with Boulevard Georges Pompidou and the Airport
Traffic restrictions
From Pont Napolรฉon III to the Junction of Avenue des Grenouillรจres on two lanes
Access and exits via the Promenade des Anglais are closed.
Access and exits from the Airport are only via M6007 and M99 Digue des Franรงais (riverside road)

- Closure of the bike lane on Promenade des Anglais and Promenade Corniglion Molinier, south sidewalk (from Pont Napolรฉon III to Boulevard Gambetta).
The bike lane will be used for the cycling event between the route of roundabout du Voyageur to the border to Saint-Laurent-du-Var.
