The President of the Departmental Council, Charles-Ange Ginรฉsy, presented the lineup of cultural events that will enliven our department’s summer at the magnificent setting of the Museum of Asian Arts, featuring 3 must-see events: the Summer Evenings, the Festival of Words, and the Lake Follies.
“Through its abundant event policy, the Alpes-Maritimes Department allows thousands of people each year to access quality shows for free,” he declared under a summer sun that heralds the beautiful season, while reminding that with a budget of 18 million euros, the department is the leading cultural player in the territory.
“This year again, our festivals will transform our territory into a vast open-air theater,” concluded Charles-Ange Ginรฉsy.
The Summer Evenings are back for their 23rd edition, from June 23 to September 23, with 397 free shows offered in 158 communes by around a hundred ensembles, comprising more than 1,200 artists.
For its 5th edition, the Festival of Words once again presents a prestigious lineup during 8 evenings, from July 13 to July 29. It will welcome renowned readers including Elsa Zylberstein, Richard Bohringer, Astrid Veillon, Brigitte Fossey, Charles Berling, and others.
Finally, the Lake Follies will feature several open-air concerts along the shores of Lake Colmiane on July 8 and 29.
