Nice, cuisine and its legacy label.

Latest News

Every year, the Nice City Tourism Office awards the “Cuisine Nissarde” label to preserve the gastronomic heritage of Nice.

A total of 22 restaurants – including 4 outside the city walls – have received the label this year. A new category has emerged: merenda e goustaroun (snacks and take-away).

Socca, pissaladière, pan bagnat, swiss chard pie: delicious dishes that make up traditional Niçoise cuisine. This Mediterranean cuisine based on vegetables has delighted the taste buds of the people of Nice for years but also attracts many tourists.

To protect these traditional Niçoise recipes, a label is awarded each year by the Nice City Tourism Office.

The quality of the products, the recipes, as well as the hospitality, are evaluated by the committee that awards this label. In total, 200 original recipes make up the traditional Niçoise cuisine, a cuisine that is shaped over the seasons.
