Iron Man Nice: Belgium in the Spotlight

Latest News

Yesterday morning, 2600 athletes set off in the 14th edition of the Iron Man, and it was during this rainy Sunday that Belgian Frederik Van Lierde claimed his 5th Iron Man of Nice.

The 39-year-old athlete was able to make a difference in the running segment and finished nearly ten minutes ahead of his competitors. He delivered a high-level performance, matching Marcel Zamora Perez (5 titles), after 8 hours, 25 minutes, and 22 seconds of effort. Frenchman Antony Costes secured second place, while Australian Cameron Wurf finished third.

In the women’s category, it was Britain’s Corinne Abraham who won, ahead of Carrie Lester (2nd) and Manon Genet, who was able to defend French colors until the end of the event.
