The association 20000 Vies recently donated three demonstration mannequins for life-saving techniques to the SDIS 06 during a small ceremony held at the Palais des Rois Sardes a few days ago.

Presided over by cardiologist Dr. Claude-Jean Mariottini, the association 20 000 Vies aims to promote the distribution of defibrillators in France, which are insufficient, hard to locate, and not readily available in public spaces. It also seeks to raise public awareness about emergency procedures.

Twenty thousand lives could be saved every year in our country, which is the association’s goal. This awareness campaign is crucial since 50,000 people die in France each year from cardiac arrest, including nearly a thousand in the Alpes-Maritimes department alone.

More than 15,000 people, including 6,000 middle school students, receive training in cardiac massage and defibrillator use each year in the department.
