From this Sunday, the exhibition presents a selection of artistic and poetic works around the theme “Beyond Writing.”
It features creations by artists from our region who have placed the interaction between writing and painting at the center of their practice, or have explored it at times.
The diversity of these works demonstrates the richness and complexity of the personal approaches related to this theme.
This event is part of the ongoing tribute paid for the past year to Michel Butor, who collaborated with many artists from our region, and who directed the inaugural exhibition of the Villa Arson, Writing in Painting (April-June 1984), in the conception of which two stArt animators, Gilbert Baud and Raphaël Monticelli, participated.
Among the artists presented:
Casula, Champollion, Miguel, Taride, Laurent, Hejblum, Moreau, Mendonça, Kraus, Rico, Lookace Bamber, Bosschot, Poinsard, Franta, Charpentier, Dupont, Eli, Gaudard, Garcin, Eppelé, Kraus, M. Michel, Rivière, Taride…
