This Friday at 9 p.m. in Mougins at Place des Patriotes, Robin Renucci will read excerpts from “The Promise of Dawn” (Gallimard) by Romain Gary.
Passionate about theater since childhood, Robin Renucci began his screen career in 1981 playing the role of Ralph in “Eaux Profondes” by Michel Deville. He gained attention with roles such as Gérard in “Invitation au voyage” or Hazan, the young Jewish intellectual in “Fort Saganne.” He has since played dozens of roles in film, television, and theater. On June 24, 2011, he was appointed by the Ministry of Culture to lead the Tréteaux de France. There, he read works by Gary and Proust, performed Molière’s “The School for Wives” (2013) and Eugène Ionesco’s “The Lesson” (2014). In 2015, he directed “Mercadet” by Honoré de Balzac. Also an actor in series, in recent years, he played the leading role in France 3’s landmark TV series “A French Village” and in season 2 of “Chefs” alongside Clovis Cornillac, a series by France 2. He was also on stage in 2017 with “Childhood at Work” based on texts by great writers.
