This Wednesday, the children will be actively engaged at the themed leisure center “Terra Amata, the Gates of Time” to discover cave painting, the construction of clay burners, or the making of wooden spears.
One of the components of the cultural project “Nissa XXI” launched by the city of Nice in schools and leisure centers at the start of the school year 2017 is the development of themed leisure programs and applications.
Four centers have opened since September 2017:
“Lou Pourtegalié” dedicated to the heritage and culture of Nice;
“Planète Eco’Hérente” focused on the environment, sustainable development, and eco-citizenship;
“Terra Amata, the Gates of Time” on the history of Nice, from the first prehistoric settlement at Terra Amata to the Gallo-Roman era;
“Voyage en terre francophone” on understanding the communities of people who share the French language.
Young residents of Nice, aged 6 to 12, attending municipal leisure centers during school holidays and on Wednesdays participate in recreational activities organized on these themes at these four sites.
