As the university start approaches, UNEF, the representative university association of the left-wing movement, has published its report on the cost of student living in the 40 largest French universities.
It includes expenses for housing and transportation.
Nice is ranked 8th, as the first city outside of Paris.
Students will need to spend (on average) 587 euros per month for housing and 153 euros for transportation.
In the first case, it is ranked 8th, and in the second, 29th.
We can deduce that the policy of moderating transportation costs mitigates but does not eliminate the impact of the real estate market.
