An agreement between the City of Nice and SDIS for a training site at the Batterie Russe

Latest News

The City of Nice and the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Fire and Rescue Service have signed, at no cost, a one-year partnership agreement for the site to be used by the department’s firefighters.

This joint training center project for security and rescue forces, as well as hospital staff, provides a concrete, immediate, and operational response to the issue of coordinated training for all forces working in security and rescue.

The Batterie russe site, a former defense structure built in 1889 and owned by the city of Nice since 1988, has undergone significant development work to create an exceptional, efficient, and innovative working tool so that the different services can work in the best possible conditions.

Additionally, a C.Q.B (Close Quarters Battle) simulation room for confined space intervention training with a modular course, used for RAID and GIGN training, will be set up during 2019.
