The “Fourneau รฉconomique,” presided over by Gรฉrard Forcheri and directed by Sister Anne-Marie Fumagalli, was created in 1906 by a member of the St Vincent de Paul society to “Provide, without any discrimination, free or at a very modest cost, meals to people without resources or with very low resources.”

This charitable association, with the help of its 52 volunteers, distributed 28,000 meals in 2018 for people in need, which is between 150 and 180 meals per day.

On this occasion, Monsignor Andrรฉ Marceau awarded the diocesan gold medal of merit to Sister Anne-Marie and Sister Monique.
