The FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 Draw has established the match schedule and their allocation to the different host cities.
Exciting events are anticipated, including the appearance of Les Bleues, who will play their second group match against Norway on June 12, and England, the top seed of Group D, ranked 4th in the FIFA – Coca-Cola Rankings, who will face Scotland on June 9.
At the end of the group stage, Nice will also host a round of 16 match as well as the third-place playoff.
“Promising fixtures that will contribute to the media and economic benefits for our territory, as well as a positive dynamic for the development of women’s sports. This Women’s World Cup is already shaping up to be a great popular success, similar to what Euro 2016 was,” commented the mayor of Nice, Christian Estrosi.
As a reminder, the competition will take place from June 7 to July 7, 2019, in nine host cities: Grenoble, Le Havre, Montpellier, Nice, Reims, Rennes, Valenciennes, Paris – which will host the opening match – and Lyon, where the semi-finals and final will be played.
