On the occasion of an Austrian Grand Prix during which rain hovered around the Red Bull Ring, Brad Binder chose to never part with his slick tires. Like a tightrope walker, the South African managed to stay on his bike to cross the finish line solo, thus securing his second victory, having won the Czech Republic Grand Prix last year.
He finished ahead of Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin. While Johann Zarco fell, Fabio Quartararo took seventh place and minimized the loss of points against his rivals.
The racer from Nice is now 47 points ahead of Francesco Bagnaia and Joan Mir, while Johann Zarco moves back to fourth place, two points behind the Italian and the Spaniard.
