On the occasion of their presentation at the Pop-Up Initiative of Nice Etoile, Nice Premium met Olivia and ร‰lodie, young entrepreneurs from Nice, who have ventured into the cookie business.

A Family Story

It was during the Covid crisis that the idea came to them. Although their fields were significantly impacted by the health crisis, giving up was not an option. The two sisters turned the situation to their advantage and took their fate into their own hands.

Eager to do things by the book, they decided to take the time to craft their own cookie recipe. Naturally, they chose to use 100% natural ingredients: Appellation of Controlled Origin (AOP) butter from Charentes-Poitou, organic eggs from Vence, Cluizel Paris chocolate, and unrefined sugar. Add to this the know-how of our Nicenes, and you will have airy and tasty cookies.

Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Olivia and ร‰lodie quickly found their place in the homemade cookie business. Their secret weapon? Instagram. The small business won its first customers by offering cookies through contests on social media. An effective strategy that allowed them to expand their community.

Food lovers are flocking to decorate the pretty cookies from Back to Cookies. Take Florence, who fell in love with these cookies at first taste. She discovered the brand following a story highlighted by an influencer on Instagram (cc @n_priscilla). Tempted by the pretty biscuits with multiple flavors, Florence took advantage of a birthday to place an order on the website and has been captivated since. โ€œThe cookies are delicious, not too sweet, and they stand out from the ordinary.โ€

For an hour, workshop participants decorate their cookies and interact with the creators. โ€œWe only have a Click and Collect location in Nice Nord. Being able to be present at Nice Etoile is a wonderful opportunity for us,โ€ explains Elodie. โ€œIt allows us to gain visibility and meet a different clientele.โ€ Fabienne also enjoys the concept, โ€œIt’s super nice to meet local artisans and share life moments like this one.โ€

The Pop Up Initiative: A Window for Niceโ€™s Entrepreneurs

At the heart of Nice Etoile, the Pop Up initiative allows entrepreneurs to test their projects in direct sales. Implemented since 2017 by Initiative Nice Cรดte d’Azur, the Pop Up is funded through the European Social Fund. A true meeting space between entrepreneurs, their clients, and potential collaborators, the Pop Up also features a coworking space.

A service that appeals to both entrepreneurs and city dwellers who are pleased to see the shopping center come to life. Every six weeks, the Pop Up welcomes new entrepreneurs from different sectors of activity.
