An extreme heatwave will affect France throughout the week. Even though Nice is one of the most spared French cities, a crisis unit has been activated.
While the Alpes-Maritimes department has been placed on orange heatwave alert, a crisis unit has been activated in Nice with the goal of “coordinating specific prevention actions for the most vulnerable populations”.
Several measures have been implemented by the Nice municipality, and they were announced this Sunday by Christian Estrosi:
The mayor of Nice also took this opportunity to remind everyone of the good practices to resist the high temperatures:
drink water regularly, limit physical and sports activities, call a doctor in case of discomfort or behavioral disturbances. Be vigilant.
