Eaglet of last season, the native of Sรจte has not been as successful since Lucien Favre’s arrival on the Gym’s bench. He is ready to leave the azure club.
A signing requested by Christophe Galtier in the summer of 2021, Andy Delort had a stellar season under the Parisian coach’s direction. 20 goals, 5 assists crowned with the title of Eaglet of the season, a very fine first performance in the Nice jersey.
Unfortunately for the Gym’s number 7, Galtier’s departure to the capital followed by the arrival of Lucien Favre disrupted his situation. An undisputed starter last year (40 appearances), he immediately fell into the rotation with the Swiss tactician (only 1,157 minutes played for 5 goals). The arrival of Laborde and the replacement of Brahimi in the axis have surely impacted the Algerian international, who is expected to leave OGC Nice.
His desire to leave seems to be materializing as he was not included in the squad for the Coupe de France match against Puy-en-Velay. With still 23 days left in the transfer market, it is clear that his adventure in Nice is likely to come to an end.
