The European Heritage Days taking place this weekend are an opportunity for the public to discover or rediscover the exceptional heritage of the Alpes-Maritimes. For one weekend, the Alpes-Maritimes Department will open many emblematic locations for free, offering guided tours of monuments and sites, workshops, games, and activities.

On this occasion, it will be possible to explore the Fort de la Revรจre, during a guided tour at the Grande Corniche departmental natural park in Eze. This fort is one of the most beautiful Sรฉrรฉ de Riviรจres structures in the Alpes-Maritimes, built between 1882 and 1885, and exceptionally opened to the public for the first time.

The doors of several other emblematic sites in the Alpes-Maritimes will also be open:

The Lympia Cultural Space: 2 quai Entrecasteaux at the Port of Nice,
The Palace of the Kings of Sardinia (departmental archives): 10 rue de la Prรฉfecture in Nice,
The Lazaret prehistoric cave: 33 bis boulevard Franck Pilatte in Nice,
The Museum of Asian Arts in Nice: 405 promenade des Anglais in Nice,
The Darse of Villefranche-sur-Mer,
The Musรฉe des Merveilles in Tende: Avenue of September 16, 1947, in Tende,
And the Departmental Micro-Folie: 26 rue Saint-Franรงois de Paule in Nice.
