In the Stade du Moustoir of Fc Lorient, the Gym suffered their first defeat since the start of the season, losing 1-0.

Last night, at 9 PM, the Aiglons traveled to Brittany with the desire to get back to winning ways after Sunday’s draw against Monaco. However, the match scenario was far from ideal for Christophe Galtier’s players. Indeed, the start of the match was more than average on both sides, but it was the Lorient players who, with their first and only shot on target, opened the score through Thomas Monconduit with a superb strike from the edge of the box.

The Aiglons had two chances before the end of the first half with Amine Gouiri, but the young hopeful international saw both of his attempts go wide of Paul Nardi’s goal.

Upon returning from the locker room, Gouiri tried to accelerate the game again and even earned a penalty (52nd minute). While crossing for Andy Delort, defender Julien Laporte handled the ball.

It was the young French international who stepped up against Paul Nardi, eager to make amends after his missed penalty against Monaco in the final moments of that match. But once again, the former Lyon player, aged 22, watched his shot soar over the bar (55th minute).

A few minutes later, Andy Delort, in his first start, stole the ball from Mendes, rounded the Breton goalkeeper, but saw his shot hit the crossbar (67th minute). Despite a red card against Heinz in the 69th minute, Nice was unable to come back, despite Delort’s attempt a few minutes later, their only shot on target in the match.

A first defeat for Nice, which is all the more bitter given the amount of time spent in the Lorient half but logical given the lack of accuracy in front of goal. With this defeat, the Gym drops to seventh place in the Ligue 1 standings.
