The Blue Week, a national event dedicated to the elderly, will have this year’s theme: “Let’s change our perspective on seniors, break the stereotypes!”
No less than 109,000 people aged 55 or older live in Nice. Therefore, the city places great importance on supporting its seniors with a commitment centered around prevention. This allows for active and healthy aging, with useful daily measures. Numerous arrangements have been put in place to facilitate the lives of seniors. Access to physical activity programs, free senior cards are examples demonstrating this commitment.
## An Event in Progress
The city of Nice will host an event this Tuesday, October 4, to mark this occasion. It will feature an active walk and a round table discussion with the support of Malakoff Humanis, a partner of the Nice project “Bien Vieillir” (“Aging Well”) launched three years ago in the capital of the French Riviera. Expert speakers in medicine, nutrition, or physical activity, among others, will be present for Q&A sessions with seniors wanting to learn more.
