Player for the Gym between 2009 and 2012, Julien Sablé will make his return to the Azur club.
According to Nice Matin, the former Gym midfielder is set to succeed Didier Digard, who has just joined the staff of Lucien Favre. A former Gym captain is therefore about to be replaced by another (Sablé had worn the armband in 2011).
Since the end of his career, Julien Sablé has held several positions (interim coach, assistant coach, reserve team coach, and director of training center) at his training club: AS Saint-Etienne.
Sablé’s return to Nice, 10 years after his departure as a player, would be initiated by the Nice sporting director Fabrice Ghisolfi. Since his arrival, the new DS of the Gym has made it a priority to choose individuals who understand the club’s identity and history.
