Italy in Slow Motion

Latest News

People from Nice and Italians gathered yesterday to protest together against the health pass.

A go-slow operation was underway at the Italian border.

As seen in the report made by a motorcyclist, cars initially parked on the highway next to the Vintimille toll to regroup. They then proceeded at a snail’s pace, below 10 km/h, to slow down traffic.

According to Stephen, who was present, there were about forty French vehicles mobilizing, and around a hundred in total.

A similar action took place last week in some major Italian cities, like Milan. Two popular people from the French Riviera on social media made the journey to contribute to the movement. However, no similar action had been organized until now near the border with France.

The slogan โ€œLibertร โ€ (freedom in French), was echoed by the crowd.

A former Italian gendarme spoke to tell the people that they must show โ€œwho they are, without violence.โ€

Freedom is the watchword, with good spirits and music. The famous Italian song โ€œBella Ciaoโ€ was notably played, like an anthem, while the cars were still at a standstill.

This action, called โ€œblack Monday,โ€ took place in several cities in France on Monday, October 4.
