The Nice Discussions scheduled for this Friday at the Mediterranean University Center are the first regional adaptation of the Royaumont Discussions, which since 2003 have established themselves as an essential reference for public debate, reflection, and the exchange of ideas.
Each year, prominent figures of our time are invited to participate in open and forward-looking discussions on the major issues facing our society.
On this occasion, two personalities who have made a significant impact on political life in recent years will contribute: former President of the Republic Nicolas Sarkozy and Manuel Valls, former Prime Minister under the presidency of Franรงois Hollande.
Quite naturally, the opening of this conference falls to the host, the Mayor of Nice/President of the Metropolis, who will be in his element to introduce the day. After all, isn’t he the advocate of the decentralization of public policies that he has long wished for?
