No success for NMCA at the Boucles de la Mayenne.

Latest News

Last week, the Nice Mรฉtropole Cรดte d’Azur was present on the roads of the Boucles de la Mayenne.

A mythical race created in 1975, notable for having a complete course. Designed for breakaway sprinters, this event was not particularly suited for the Nice Mรฉtropole Cรดte d’Azur. The team from Nice was composed of Paul Hennequin, Edouard Bonnefoix, Jonathan Couanon, Jean-Louis Le Ny, Axel Narbonne Zuccarelli, and Maxime Urruty.

While many of them managed to join breakaways last week at the 4 Days of Dunkirk, it was much more challenging in Mayenne. On the 537-kilometer course, only one NMCA rider managed to break away from the peloton. Jean-Louis Le Ny launched a counterattack during Stage 2, 60 kilometers from the finish. A bold attempt that fell short just a few kilometers from the end.

Among the highlights, we note the two top 20 finishes by Jonathan Couanon in the first and last stages.

The next meeting for the Maralpine team is tomorrow with the start of the Mercanโ€™Tour Classic Alpes-Maritimes. A one-day race with a course suited for climbers.
