The Nice criminal court sentenced yesterday, Wednesday, November 6, a 26-year-old protester who had knocked down five police officers, including their leader.

During an anti-pass protest last September 11, Joshua Mโ€™Tar, a 26-year-old from Nice, attempted to enter the TNL shopping center. He elbowed officers, including Commissioner Hรฉlรจne Pedoya, and knocked down four other police officers.

The Nice public prosecutor confirmed to 20 minutes that the young man was sentenced to six months in prison with no parole and six months on probation, along with a three-year ban on participating in demonstrations. He is also mandated to undergo treatment and compensate his victims.
