Algarve MotoGP: Bagnaia Claims Victory, Quartararo Crashes

Latest News

The Algarve Grand Prix had its share of twists and turns before crowning Francesco Bagnaia on the penultimate lap after a violent crash.

Bagnaia finished ahead of Joan Mir (Suzuki) and Jack Miller (Ducati) at the finish line, not crossed by Quartararo who fell at the end of the race. It’s his very first withdrawal this season, having secured his first world championship title since the previous race in Italy.

This time, “Pecco” Bagnaia stayed in the saddle: starting from pole position as in Italy two weeks ago, he held firm at the front to claim his third Grand Prix in five races, also his third this season, reinforcing his status as the “runner-up.”
