Goncourt Prize for High School Students: Meeting Between Authors and High School Students

Latest News

As part of the Goncourt Prize for High School Students, the 14 selected authors and students from the 56 participating high schools will meet virtually between November 12 and 17.

The Goncourt Prize for High School Students, created and organized by the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports, and by Fnac, under the high patronage of the Goncourt Academy, offers nearly 2000 high school students the opportunity to elect their winner from among the 14 authors selected by the Goncourt Academy.

Besides allowing them to make their voices heard, this contest obviously enables them to discover 14 works of contemporary literature and encourages them to open up to reading.

The digital format meetings will thus take place on November 12, 15, 16, and 17. The high school students will then have the opportunity to ask questions to the 14 authors competing in the contest.

The regional deliberations will then take place on November 22, in person, in six major cities across France, before giving way to the national deliberations which will be held in Rennes on November 25.

The vocational high school Paul Valรฉry in Menton, and especially the Massรฉna high school in Nice are among the 56 high schools participating in the contest. Some of our young people from Nice will thus have the opportunity to make their voices heard to elect the next Goncourt Prize for High School Students.
