After being elected mayor of Menton, Yves Juhel also succeeds Jean-Claude Guibal as president of the French Riviera agglomeration community.
Yves Juhel was the only candidate to run for this position. On the same day, he obtained both the mayoralty of Menton and the French Riviera agglomeration community.
This community met on Tuesday evening at the Palais de l’Europe during its community council. The new president was elected with 35 votes cast, out of the 48 community councilors.
Jean-Claude Guibal had passed away on October 25th, which necessitated an urgent replacement.
The mayor of Breil-sur-Roya, Sébastien Olharan, was supposed to run for the presidency of the Carf. He withdrew in favor of the mayor of Menton following his election. He changed his mind at the meeting of the community’s mayors.
