On this November 11th, a public holiday in memory of the end of the Great War of 1914-18, several ceremonies will take place in our communities in the Alpes-Maritimes.
On the occasion of the commemorations of the 103rd anniversary of the signing of the 1918 Armistice, the whole of France will celebrate, as every year, this symbolic date of November 11th by paying tribute to the victims of the Great War.
Our department of the Alpes-Maritimes is of course no exception and several ceremonies are taking place.
The Prefecture of the 06 has already published the information on the commemorations that will be celebrated in the department, here they are:
• Nice: quai Rauba Capeu at 10:00, presided over by Bernard Gonzalez, Prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes, Christian Estrosi, Mayor of Nice, and Lieutenant Colonel Philippe BOCQUET, Departmental military delegate of the Alpes-Maritimes
• Grasse: place du Petit Puy at 11:00, presided over by Anne Frackowiak-Jacobs, Sub-Prefect of the arrondissement of Grasse.
• Menton: place des Victoires at 10:30, presided over by Benoît Huber, Chief of Staff of the Prefect of the Alpes-Maritimes.
• Guillaumes: at 14:30, in the presence of Charles Ange Ginésy, President of the Departmental Council of the Alpes-Maritimes, Jean-Paul David, Mayor of Guillaumes.
• Cagnes-sur-Mer: starting at 8:30 with a wreath-laying at the square des Dardanelles.
• La Trinité: 10:30 and 11:30, at the Laghet war memorial and the square Barbero.
