The 26th edition of the Nice International Half Marathon will take place on April 9th as part of the Nice Running Day. This event includes 5 races, each with different interactive themes. Funds raised from some of these races will be donated to the Breast Cancer League.
At 9 a.m., the day will kick off with its flagship race, the 21km “Hoka One One,” which was voted the “most beautiful Half Marathon in France” last year. It will be challenging to defend this title. Safety regulations require the relocation of the Running Day this year. The start will not be on the Promenade des Anglais, but at the Allianz Riviera. The runs will then take place within the eco-valley. This race is open to everyone, as is its little sister that follows: the 10 km race.
For the younger participants, the “Haribo Teens Run” will start at noon. The 3 km race will have two starting times for children aged 12 to 13 and 14 to 15.
At the same time, men and women in costumes will take part in the “Niçoise Haribo.” Part of the funds raised from this 5km race will be donated to the Breast Cancer League. The same applies to the final event: the “Haribo Family Run.” For this race, adults and children will compete in a sporty walk.
Participants can pick up their race bibs from April 7th to 8th at the Running Expo Village set up on the sidewalk of the Quai des États-Unis. Shuttles will be arranged to take runners from the Thiers train station to the stadium for 6 euros (round trip).
