The Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis wins the Mobility Award at the Zero Carbon Forum, thanks to its “Conversion Incentive” project. The forum annually rewards municipalities that take measures to support residents in transitioning to green mobility.
“I would like to warmly thank the organizers of the Zero Carbon Forum for awarding us the 2021 Mobility Award, which honors our new Conversion Incentive measure to support everyone in decarbonizing mobility,” announces Christian Estrosi, the mayor of Nice.
The creation of a €1,000 conversion incentive is what earned the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolis the Mobility Award at the Zero Carbon Forum.
“This award recognizes our commitment to assisting everyone towards decarbonized mobility, a vision I have for Nice as the definitive Green and Blue city of the Mediterranean,” the mayor of Nice proudly states.
To recap, this subsidy is provided when a crit’air 4 or 5 thermal vehicle is replaced by an electric vehicle or electric two-wheeler.
Thus, an eligible person can benefit from up to €6,000 in assistance from the metropolis for purchasing an electric car, not including the state aid which can reach up to €11,000.
When purchasing an electric vehicle, the subsidy application must be submitted within six months. The payment process can take between 6 and 10 months.
