The number of job seekers with no activity registered at Pôle emploi increased by 1.3% in March, the Ministry of Labor announced on Wednesday.
This figure corresponds to an increase of 43,700 category A unemployed people compared to February, reaching a total of 3,508,100 individuals.
Since François Hollande arrived at the Élysée, the number of category A unemployed has jumped by more than 600,000 people, which is an increase of 21%.
In the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region, the number of those registered in category A increased by 0.8%, bringing the total to 326,310, which is 2,750 additional registrants.
In the Alpes-Maritimes, there are 70,590 unemployed people (+0.3%), with a year-on-year change of +0.9%.
