What to do in Nice for the European Heritage Days?

For this new edition of the European Heritage Days, this weekend of September 16 and 17, 2023, is themed “Sports Heritage”!

Here is a non-exhaustive list of what can be visited this weekend in Nice for the European Heritage Days:

  • The historical depot of the RĂ©gie ligne d’Azur is opening its doors. In groups of 10 people, the tour lasts 1 hour at the following times: Saturday 10am, 11am, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm. Registration by email only: patrimoine@lignesdazur.fr
  • Municipal base of the nautical eagle / Sea and mountain discovery center: guided tour of the Vincent Fossat room with the exhibition “View under the Sea,” on Saturday from 10am to 6pm.
  • Caucade Library: One-hour conference on genealogy on Saturday starting at 2pm
  • Nautical Club of Nice: guided tour on Saturday, 10am to 6pm
  • Urban planning and architecture forum: (re)discover the history of the former slaughterhouses of Nice now known as the 109, on Saturday from 11am to 12:30pm and from 2:30pm to 4pm, reservation required: forum@ville-nice.fr
  • Nice-Ville Station: discover the exhibition Historical Train Exhibits and Circulations, reservations are recommended: https://attcv.fr/reserver/
  • Center for Arts and Culture & Ferrero space: conference Lou nissart, qu’es acò?, on Saturday starting at 3pm
  • Carlone Library: explore the heritage literary collections of Nice, Saturday starting at 9am with free entry
  • Charles Nègre Photography Museum: guided tour of the exhibition “An Ode to Nature” by Jeffrey Conley, free entry on Saturday and Sunday
  • Palace of the Kings of Sardinia: take part in a creative workshop “Seals and coats of arms, writing… Immerse yourself in the past!”, subject to available spots, no registration required, on Saturday and Sunday
