The Azure flora and greenery captured in a book. The new work released by Gilletta editions is presented to the public. It was presented in the presence of several personalities, including the President of the Alpes Maritimes department Eric Ciotti, the authors, the publishing house, and a public of friends of reading and vegetation.
This voluminous document, composed of two parts, is a practical guide for nature lovers. It introduces you to the vegetation of the department in all its diversity and splendor.
Thanks to its creation, 6,268 plant species and 33 botanical discovery circuits among the most beautiful in the Alpes-Maritimes have been identified.
For Valérie Castera, Director of Gilletta Editions, this document is pure joy: “it is our botanical heritage that we are passing down to our children who will do the same.”
It also features a text by botanist Louis Poirion and photographs by Nadia Loury.
The President of the Alpes Maritimes Department congratulated the authors for the quality of their work and promised his full support. “The work will find a very good place in the chronicles of the PACA department,” said Eric Ciotti.
It is a project developed and accompanied by professionals. The authors Lionel Carles and Ludovic Thébault also offer readers maps and technical sheets (historical, geological…).
