The group of migrants wandering for 2 days in Nice went yesterday morning to Forum Réfugiés, one of the associations accredited by the State to register asylum applications and relieve the prefectural services by submitting pre-asylum applications.
Guided by Cédric Herrou, who apparently enjoys his new role as the Gandhi of the Roya, they arrived in Nice on Wednesday, accompanied by other association activists.
They will receive an official summons to register their file and, only at that point, will they benefit from the status of asylum seeker, with accommodation covered by the State.
It is unclear where they will go in the meantime and especially if the chain of solidarity set up with associations and individuals to find them accommodation over the past two days will continue to function.
